Originally built in 1986 at the Dutch Feadship shipyard, the 57-meter yacht Amara has had several major updates over the years. A significant refit in 2016 even earned her a nomination in the Best Refit category at the World Superyacht Awards.In 2021, Amara returned to Feadship’s facility in Makkum for a comprehensive renovation of both the exterior and interior. Under new ownership, Amara received a modern update, including an advanced deck designed to accommodate a twin-engine helicopter and her 35-year class survey by Lloyd’s.The redesigned interior, created by Terence Disdale, feels calm and elegant. With a neutral color palette of cream and beige tones, accented with navy blue, the space has a fresh and peaceful atmosphere. The spacious master suite spans the full width of the yacht and includes luxurious features like walk-in closets and a private lounge. The other guest cabins comfortably accommodate up to ten guests in a stylish setting.Zijlstra Interiors beautifully enhanced the interior with custom wall coverings, carpets, furniture upholstery, window treatments, and decorative cushions, each detail crafted with care. These thoughtful touches lend Amara a warm, timeless look that complements her classic charm.
